System

    In Romania, regional development is regulated by Law 315/2004, published in the Official Gazette, part I, no. 577 of June 29th, 2004.

     

    In order to be able to implement the regional development policy, eight development regions were established. They are not administrative or territorial units and they do not have legal status.
